The eave flashing or edging is just the steel metal strips used to cover the entire perimeter of the roof.

Align the first metal roofing panel so that it overlaps the edging by 1 2 to 3 4 of an inch and is square to the roof. Next you are ready to install the metal roof. Use your neoprene washer head screws to secure the metal to the sheathing. Low slope metal roofs require less material which reduces the overall load on the building s structure.
