It is easier to install equipment when you disassemble its parts.
Install a range hood roof vent.
On the roof use a jigsaw to cut a round hole.
Slide the vent under the shingles so they cover the top half of the vent flange.
Measure out a square that s slightly larger than the vent hole and remove the shingles in this area with a hooked blade.
Before you purchase a range hood check the cfm rating of its fan.
