Determine the middle of the line you have made. Take the wire in your picture and hold it taut from the center to measure the distance from the top of wire to the frame. Cut a piece of picture hanging wire with wire clippers that is twice that. Take a small piece of wood approximately 12 inches 30 cm long and mark its center.

Use a tape measure to measure the distance from the top of the mirror to the top of the piece of wood. You don t want them too close together. D rings and picture wire the mirror must have a frame around it to hang a mirror this way. Measure the width of your mirror and mark a point in the middle of that line.

Place a scrap piece of wood that is approximately half as long as the mirror is wide underneath the hanging wire on back of the frame. With the mirror propped against the wall or lying face down raise the wire up to make it taut and identify two points that will distribute the pressure equally across the wire. Place the level against the wall at the place you want to hang the mirror and make a line on the wall with a pencil all along the top of where the mirror top will be.
