It should be tall enough so that when it s hung on the track there is about 1 2 inch of space between the bottom of the door and the floor.
Be sure to drill your screws into studs so as to ensure the tracking.
If installing two sliding doors remember that the tracks should be twice as wide as each door so that you can slide two doors together.
